At our car service in Belgrade, we performed a major service on a Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI. In Serbia, this type of service is referred to as veliki servis.
This diesel engine is equipped with a timing belt that needs to be replaced as per regulations. Failing to replace the belt or other drive components can lead to serious engine failure and costly repairs.
We installed a complete Continental timing belt set - everything in one go:
- timing belt
- tensioner
- water pump
Typically, such maintenance is necessary after purchasing a used car when there's no reliable information about the previous replacement of the belt, pump, and rollers.
